Market Data Architecture & Verification Methodology

How the ScalpLens data pipeline ingests exchange WebSocket streams, enforces closed-candle state finality, and delivers zero-repainting market intelligence.

1. Real-Time Exchange Stream Ingestion & Normalization

ScalpLens maintains persistent, low-latency WebSocket connections directly with primary spot exchange infrastructure—specifically Binance Spot and MEXC Spot. Rather than relying on intermittent REST polling, the desk ingests live miniTickers and kline bar updates sub-second.

Incoming payloads from heterogeneous exchange protocols are parsed and transformed into a unified, memory-mapped schema:

  • Format Normalization: Price, volume, and turnover timestamps are standardized into nanosecond-precision UTC epochs.
  • Quote Currencies: Standardized exclusively against USDT liquid pairs to ensure cross-market consistency.
  • Buffer Isolation: Inbound tick streams are buffered in isolated non-blocking ring structures to eliminate thread contention.

2. State Finality & The Anti-Repainting Rule

In short-term trading, interim bar wicks and rapid intra-candle volatility generate false signals that vanish seconds later when the market moves. Indicators calculated on forming ticks are notoriously prone to "repainting"—giving an illusion of precision in hindsight that never existed in real-time execution.

ScalpLens strictly enforces Closed-Candle State Finality:

  • Signals and structural state evaluations are triggered only when the bar timestamp has officially lapsed and closed.
  • Once closed, the candle parameters (Open, High, Low, Close, Volume) are immutable and finalized in memory.
  • The desk never retroactively updates or repaints past historical alerts.

Server-Owned Signal Lifetime (TTL)

When a verified market condition is detected on a closed candle, a unique SignalEvent is generated with an immutable snapshot of market state. This event is assigned a strict 20-minute Time-To-Live (TTL). Once the 20 minutes expire, the signal automatically clears from active feeds, preventing operators from acting on stale conditions.

3. Multi-Exchange Spot Universe Filtering

With over 1,000 spot pairs active across Binance and MEXC, raw market data contains significant noise, illiquid tokens, and newly listed micro-caps that distort analytical baselines. ScalpLens filters this universe systematically:

Liquidity Depth

Volume Verification

Enforces continuous 24-hour quote turnover floors to ensure tradable market depth.

Listing Maturity

Seasoned History

Requires established historical bar history (minimum 8 months) to eliminate unseasoned token spikes.

Integrity Checks

Delisting Protection

Monitors active exchange listing status flags; halted or delisted markets are isolated instantly.

4. Proprietary Algorithmic Engine & Context Synthesis

Rather than isolated single-indicator triggers, ScalpLens synthesizes higher-timeframe structural regimes with tactical momentum inflection.

The specific mathematical models, weighting coefficients, structural invalidation thresholds, and confluence algorithms utilized by ScalpLens are proprietary trade secrets of our quantitative research desk. These heuristics run within our hardened server-side processing environment and are never exposed over client APIs.

Operators receive verified informational outputs—such as confirmed structure alignment and momentum inflection events—giving decision clarity without revealing proprietary desk intellectual property.

5. Transparent Data Health & Anomaly Handling

Real-world financial networks encounter socket disconnects, upstream API rate-limits, and scheduled exchange maintenance. ScalpLens maintains complete transparency regarding data pipeline state:

  • No Synthetic Hallucination: If an exchange drops a candle bar, the system marks the gap as DATA_GAP rather than synthesizing artificial prices.
  • Graceful In-Memory Degradation: If persistence layers encounter latency, the scanner continues operating in real-time memory without crashing live feeds.
  • Automatic Reconnection & Sync: Disconnected sockets re-establish with exponential backoff and verify candle continuity upon reconnect.

6. Non-Custodial, Read-Only Security Architecture

The ScalpLens ingestion infrastructure operates strictly on read-only public market data streams. The platform never requires, requests, or accesses private exchange API trading keys, withdrawal authorizations, or customer funds.
